TTB Classifies Use of Social Media by Wineries as “Advertising”

Wineries should be aware that TTB has just issued a ruling that classifies all communications by producers of alcoholic beverages in social media as “advertising”, subject to all the limitations and regulations they must submit to when using print or traditional media in advertising their products.
