This Saturday April 6th, Afton Mountain Vineyards will celebrate 10 years of ownership by the Smith family with a full day of events. Open to the public and no fees to attend. A free commemorative glass will be given with all tastings! They are also celebrating 40 years of vines and 30 years of wines from the establishment.
11:30 a.m.: Meet Gabriele Rausse, the Godfather of Va Wine, as he talks about planting some of the first vines at AMV.
12 – 2:00 p.m.: Book signing with Richard Leahy, author of “Beyond Jefferson’s Vines – the Evolution of Quality Wine in VA”.
