The Shenandoah Valley Wine Trail, comprised of wineries in the Shenandoah Valley American Viticultural Area, will present the first Shenandoah Cup trophy to the top-rated wine submitted in its inaugural competition at a Gala on November 15. The celebration will be held at CrossKeys Vineyards, 6011 Timber Ridge Rd., Mt. Crawford from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.
Members submitted 50 wines for judging by the Atlantic Seaboard Wine Association and the top six will comprise the Shenandoah Cup “case.” All will be available for tasting at the Gala.

The celebration will continue the next day at Bluestone Vineyard, 4828 Spring Creek Rd., Bridgewater with a Showcase Festival in the Meeting House banquet hall from 1-5 p.m. In addition to wineries that participated in the judging, other member wineries will be offering tastings and bottle sales.
